EGroupware:

About community

EGroupware community

Our Community is multi-cultured, and multi-gifted. There are developers, doc-writers, artists and any other kind of open source addicted people. Anybody who actively helps, that EGroupware grows, is part of the community.

Communication

Nearly all communication in the project goes over mailing lists. You'll find any active community member there. The Forum is an interface to mailing lists! So if you use our Forum, please quote all necessary information so that participants on the list know what you are talking about.

Accounts | Code repository

You can register yourself in the Forum or Mailing lists. Most important is an account on egroupware.org community to work in the Wiki and Trackers. If you want to start developing code see our guideline How to become a developer.

History

The roots of EGroupware are back the year 2000 where the development started as phpgroupware formerly known as webdistro.
In 2003 EGroupware divided into its own project with the intention to continue development in a more open and community steered manner.
The last admin election took place in April 2005. Current Project Admin is Ralf Becker.
