Synchronisation Overview
This is your documentation starting point for all things syncing with eGroupWare. There is a wide range of synchronisation protocols which are used by the wide range of different (groupware clients)?.Thus, the topic synchronisation is a bit complex.
We try to keep this information up to date. If you know somithing which should be listed here / corrected PLEASE let us know!

Comments on the various sync projects
Here you will find some status information and links to the various exisitng projects related to syncing different platforms with eGroupWare.
SyncML
SyncML allows you to synchronize your contacts, events and tasks to a offline client. Currently supported clients include different mobile phones, Palm and Windows Mobile based PDA's and Microsoft Outlook.

GroupDAV
- GroupDAV page
- GroupDAV application in EGroupware also supports (a subset of) CalDAV or CardDAV

- is an own application since 1.6.001 (was part of ICalSrv package in 1.4.003/4)
Old not longer active developed, and therefore NOT recommended, synchronisation protocolls
Outlook syncing using XMLRPC
The most promising I found was the Outlook Integration project page. A bit on the development of some classes for (eGWSyncUtils)?, meant to help sync with Outlook.
- An active project called for syncing with Outlook know as eGWOSync and is currently maintained by Esben Laursen. Check it out and I know he would be interested in any and all feedback.
- A description about what the plan was to be for (syncing to Outlook)?, not much interesting here.
- A pretty overview of what clients should or could provide synchronisation for Outlook. Includes links to download the clients.
Syncing using XMLRPC
A document stating that you should be able to sync with KDE's kontact application.
Syncing using Soap
Nothing to report about this at all.
