FeLaMiMail offers you the possibility to install a
vacation notice allowing you to reply to incoming emails automatically when you are absent. The sender is therein informed in a freely configurable text that you are away, perhaps on vacation. You can set up the out of office reply in the
FeLaMiMail preferences menu.
If your out of office reply is
activated you will see the following notification in RED in
main FeLaMiMail screen above the email list:
vacation notice is active.
To
Edit vacation notice you can switch the status between
Active and
Disabled using the radio button.
This is how to actually configure the out of office reply:
- respond to emails sent to: This is where email addresses are entered for which incoming emails should receive an vacation notice. Mark (click) the address in the box on the right and move to the left box using the double arrow <<. This step can be repeated for all of your identities. You can also enter an additional email address (e.g. info@company.de) in the text window on the right and also move to the left box using <<. To remove email addresses from the box on the left mark the address and clicking on the double arrow >>.
- every: In a selection box you can determine the time interval in which a vacation notice should be sent again (if a new mail arrives from the same sender). For example, the interval can be set to eight days. This means that if your client sends you an email, he/she will receive an out of office reply. However, if after four days the same client sends another email, he/she will not receive an new notification. If the client sends an email after nine days, a new out of office reply is sent.
- with message: You can input your individual out of office reply message here.
The usual buttons to
[Save],
[Apply] or
[Cancel] are located below this. You are then redirected to the
main FeLaMiMail screen.
